Yrs. Truly
So you probably wonder who the webmistress is.
Well,
name: Olga L. a.k.a. Elefwin a.k.a. Miss Malice (see the names explained)
age: something over 23... All right, I was born in 1977 '-) But in some respects I'm said to be infantile, in some respects I feel very old, and occasionally my inner adolescent fights for control. So there. The golden mean would be somewhere around 23.
residence: Bat-Yam, Israel
occupation: a student forever (which is what I actually seem to do, learn odd things), a paper-pusher (which sounds dull but is paid for), an artist (which gives pleasure beyond words)... was supposed to be a geek, but failed '-)
communicates in: Russian, English, Romanian, Hebrew (on special occasions)
can't live without: literature, fine arts, cats, chocolate, music, movies, computers
is strangely fond of: phonetics, sunglasses, vampires '-)
last but not least, that would be 'fond of'+'friend of'+'can't live without'... Zoi,Paige, Becky? I love you '-)
If you feel it is not enough to know one, you're welcome to (A) further explore this site, (B) e-mail me and ask and (C) visit my LiveJournal for other random Elfie facts. Enjoy yourself.
Elefwin (with the emphasis on the first E, and a bit on the I) : I am really fond of this alias. It appeals to my phonetic sense and it seems 100% original, the only inconvenience of using it being people starting to recognize me all over the net '-)
The name Elefwin comes from my fiction. As far as I know, there are two Elefwins. One is an elf/vampire hybrid (and in this case the meaning of the name would be A Gift Not Asked For, or [Quite A] Surprise). The other is a Force-sensitive lady from the Harguese Empire. They are complicated characters, naturally, but rather nice girls (when not pushed), all in all interesting to plot about. One day I really should write some stories down...
And! I asked the Kabalarians to analyze this name, and they did! Hooray '-) You can now read about Elefwin here, and I swear it's a much better match for me.
Miss Malice was born when I started to write fan fiction seriously and, as obvious as the pen name may seem, it requires a bit of explanation.
'Seriously' means having my writings submitted to FanFiction.net and to a number of other archives. It does not mean my writing habits and style.
This said, I must add I seldom write comedy (and that tends to turn out on the darker side). It's not exactly what I write about that is fun, it's the how. The situation described can be grave, and the characters are sometimes bound to, well, suffer. But I won't do angst for angst's sake and if I kill, I kill quickly. I'm generally kind to my characters, and especially to those I humbly borrow for fan fiction ('cause, see, I have to give them back eventually). I usually love them!
Still, I get something written only if I look at it with a bit of good humour, irony or sarcasm. Thus there appears torture, less literal, subtle, sometimes visible only to the author... But it's there. I do put people through hell and enjoy it... and am not sorry afterwards. So the nick's deserved.
My real name is of Scandinavian origin and means 'saint' (conform to some charts). That much of it '-) You can try to analyze it, like this, with amazing results, only a part of which are true. Fun, nevertheless.
